We agree bespoke deals with each of our clients.

As a guide, for short-term arrangements (anything from a week to several months), we tend to be paid a fee in instalments – between £10,000 to more than £100,000 depending on the job.

For long-term relationships, usually many years, we generally take a stake in indies and are paid a retainer.

The scale of each depends on the circumstances of the company.

Stakes range from 5% to 20%, but most are in between.

Retainers range from £25,000 to £100,000 per annum.

The larger the stake, the smaller the retainer – and vice versa. In some instances, we waive the stake or the retainer (terms apply).

Where appropriate, we also agree share option deals or bonuses (for example a percentage of exit value).
